The phrasing starts with 1/2 pedal indications, moves to full staccato playing in measures 28 through 32, then transforms via 1/2 pedal into full pedal in measures 35 through 37. The melodic curve evolves from the large intervals of the residue in measure 26 to a very fluent curve in motif 1.
