Although there are a few note-additions in the middle of this period, the main tendency is toward note-diminution starting from motif 2. The rhythm is augmented extremely over the whole period, with a first general augmentation from 32nd quintuplets in measure 90 to 16th triplets in measure 96. After that, the head of the bar is further augmented to 8th notes in measure 103 and the tail transitions to rolls. The dynamics evolve from fortissimo in measure 90 to pianissimo in measure 96, and remain pianissimo until the end of the period. No accents are added and the phrasing is not affected. The melodic curve evolves from the very fluent motif 2 to the static and quite jumpy residue at the end of the period. The tempo is brought down from 50 to 32 bpm between bars 97 and 103.
